Video settings

Screen resolution

By default, Userflow records videos with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. This ratio matches most laptop displays.

There are reasons why you might want your videos in different resolutions:

  • Some content providers can only show videos in certain aspect ratios. One example is Intercom, which will always display videos in 16:9 format. To get 16:9 format, you could change your resolution to 1280 x 720 pixels.
  • Your web app is tailored to a different aspect ratio.

You can change the resolution of individual videos through Video settings in the top three-dot menu on the video’s Manuscript page.

You can also set a company-wide default resolution, which will be used on all new videos, under Settings in the top menu item.

Here’s a walk-through of how to use custom resolutions:

The screen resolution width and height values can be any even integer between 500 and 1280 pixels.
