Besides using synthetic voices, you can also record your own voice-over in Userflow.
Simply click the Sliders icon below the voice-over text area, and then click the Microphone recording tab in the dialog that appears.
Then you can record your own voice directly in your browser by clicking the Microphone icon below the voice-over text area.
When you're done recording, click the Stop recording button. Userflow will automatically trim the sound clip to remove any silence in the beginning and the end.
Here's a walk-through of how to use microphone recording (this video was of course made using microphone recording):
Microphone recording tips
- Use a good microphone. Laptop microphones are not good enough. We recommend the Blue Yeti - that's what the above video was recorded with.
- Make sure you're in a quiet room.
- Make sure the room doesn't have too much echo.
- Make sure you're not making any small sounds in the background, e.g. hitting the table or moving your chair.
